Drawn from Petrie's vast library, the present collection of 201 classic Irish tunes offers players a generous book of fine-sounding piano pieces from simple arrangements to music of only moderate difficulty.
Included are rollicking jigs, lively reels, heartfelt laments, and the delights of such folk classics as "Beautiful Molly M'Keon," "If I'm Alive in Ireland," "The Little Red Lark," "A Song of Castle Hacket," "Where Were You All Day, My Pretty Boy?" and many, many more. Music is clearly engraved in traditional keyboard notation with all tempo and performance indications. (Song lyrics are not included in this set.)
Out of print for many years, this volume of arrangements has become a rare, much-sought-after collector's item. This new edition enables all musicians to share the pleasures of these long-cherished airs and dances.
